Grass fed beef rump (chump) 2 steak pack

Grass fed beef rump (chump) 2 steak pack

Regular price £13.00

Unit price per

Size

Rump is a prime steak cut, tender, juicy, with intense flavour, suitable for frying, grilling and barbecuing.

Rump steak is our favourite steak because of its depth of flavour.  Rump is well marbled - the fat melts away during cooking but bastes the meat to ensure that the cooked steak is juicy and tender.  Our rump steak is aged for four weeks to deepen the flavour and tenderise the meat.

This is a pack of 2 x 200 g steaks (6-7 ounce steaks) - each will be between 1 cm and 1.5 cm thick (depending on the size of the beef animal)

Product images & weights

Please note your goods may vary slightly from the pictures on the website. . The images of the meat on our website are for illustrative purposes only. As meat is a natural product, each carcase we butcher is individual and even within the same breed carcases vary in size, overall weight, levels of fat cover, colour and marbling etc.  The product you receive may not look exactly like the image of the product on the website, as individual meat qualities e.g.level of subcutaneous fat, colour of muscle vary from animal to animal.

Although complete carcases vary in size the butcher will cut the meat cut as closely as he can to match the weight of the meat product sold. This means that, for example, a rib eye steak of 200 g  may vary in dimensions when cut from one beef carcase compared to that cut from another. The steaks from a smaller beast will be smaller but thicker, and those of a larger beast will be wider but thinner, but in both cases the steaks will weigh 200 g approximately, As our meat is cut by hand it may vary slightly in shape and appearance from batch to batch. The product packaging of our goods may vary from that shown on images on our website.

We cut  meat as accurately as possible, but as this is a natural product the weight of the product supplied may vary slightly from the weight ordered. It is impossible for the butcher to be absolutely precise when cutting meat and poultry weights and weights of poultry portions (e.g. chicken breasts) vary slightly from week to week depending on the exact age of the birds when killed.  Customers who have paid in advance online will not have to pay more if they are delivered or collect a heavier product than than purchased, but we will not make a refund if a product is less than 10% lighter than that prepaid online

Product may be fresh or frozen

All our meat products (excepting eggs and skincare) may be sent out fresh or frozen, and this varies for each product on a daily basis .  Whether a product is sent out fresh or frozen will depend on the stock situation on the date of shipment and on the shelf life of the individual  product. Mixed boxes may consist of both fresh and frozen items.  In mixed boxes fresh items are sent in a bag marked 'fresh items' and frozen items are sent in a bag marked 'frozen items' .

If you do not want this item as a frozen product please put it into your basket as usual but put a note in the 'NOTES TO VENDOR' box on the checkout - just say 'NO FROZEN PRODUCTS PLEASE'.  When we prepare your order we will leave out any items which are only in stock as frozen items on the day your order is shipped or collected and we will refund you for the items which we cannot supply as fresh items on that day.

(Please note our FREE DELIVERY TO NORTHERN IRELAND AND REPUBLIC OF IRELAND OFFER only applies if the order shipped is over £100 so if removal of frozen items from the order reduces the value of your order below £100 we will not be able to deliver your order free of charge.)

Delivery terms and conditions

Our Delivery Terms and Conditions

  1. Delivery costs. The costs of delivery will be as displayed to you on our website.
  1. When we will provide your goods. We attempt to deliver within 3 working days to Northern Ireland. The shipping date will vary depending on the goods ordered as some goods are only available on certain days of the week, which will then affect when we can ship the item. Delivery to the Republic of Ireland and Great Britain may take longer, as we restrict shipping to ROI/GB to Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays to allow 2 days for the couriers to deliver before the weekend. We will try to deliver within this timescale date/time but such delivery dates/times are estimates only and we will notify you if your goods are not able to be despatched within the timescale for any reason.  Delivery times may be longer during exceptionally busy periods, when we will despatch orders strictly on a date placed basis.
  1. We are not responsible for delays outside of our control. If our supply of your goods is delayed by an event outside of our control then we will contact you as soon as practically possible. We will take steps to minimise the effect of the delay. Provided we do this, we will not be liable for delays caused by the event, but if there is a risk of substantial delay you may contact us to end the contract and receive a refund for any goods you have paid for but not received.
  1. If you are not at home when your goods are delivered. If no one is available at your address to take delivery, our courier Parcelforce will not leave the goods at the delivery address. We ship by a signed for service, and a signature (or in a lockdown, an indication by a person present that they accept the goods), is required for the goods to be left at the address. If you contact our courier partner direct and arrange a 'redelivery request' causing the courier to delay the delivery of your goods, we will not accept liability for any changes to the condition of the goods, or any delay to the delivery.
  1. When you become responsible for and own the goods. The goods will be your responsibility from the time we deliver the goods to the address you gave us. You own goods once we have received payment in full.
  1. What will happen if you do not give the required information to us. We may need certain information from you so that we can supply your goods to you, for example, the quantity of food and the delivery address. If so, this will have been stated in the description of the goods on our website. We will contact you to ask for this information if not provided. If you do not give us this information within a reasonable time of us asking for it, or if you give us incomplete or incorrect information, we may either end the contract or make an additional charge of a reasonable sum to compensate us for any extra work that is required as a result. We will not be responsible for supplying the goods late or not supplying any part of them if this is caused by you not giving us the information we need within a reasonable time. If you provide us with incorrect information for example, an incorrect postcode, that results in the failure to deliver, we will not accept liability.
  1. Reasons we may delay the supply of goods to you. We may have to delay the supply of goods due to stock shortages, to deal with technical problems, or make minor technical changes, update the goods or packaging to reflect changes in relevant laws and regulatory requirements and/or make changes to the goods as requested by you or notified by us to you

STORAGE OF YOUR MEAT

Your order may contain both fresh and frozen items.

FROZEN ITEMS

Frozen items are marked with a ‘Best Before’ date of 365 days from the date of packing. Please ensure you put frozen items in your freezer immediately your package is delivered, and store them frozen until you are ready to cook them. Once thawed or defrosted previously frozen items have a ‘Use By’ date of 12 hours and must be cooked within 12 hours. Do not leave previously frozen items in a refrigerator for several days after thawing – they will not be safe to eat and should be discarded. Previously frozen items can be cooked and then refrozen for example, frozen mince can be defrosted, cooked and then frozen as e.g. Shepherds’ Pie or Bolognese Sauce.

FRESH ITEMS

Fresh items are marked with a ‘Use By’ date of several days (the length of which varies depending on the type of product – minced items with no preservative have a 2 day shelf life, fresh chicken has a 3 day shelf life, sausages or burgers containing preservatives have a 5 day shelf life in an unopened vacuum pack, beef steaks have a 14 day shelf life in an unopened vacuum pack, bacon has a 14 day shelf life in an unopened vacuum pack, but 4 days shelf life only once the pack is open).  Fresh meat and poultry should be stored in a refrigerator set to the lowest setting (2 degrees Centigrade) and should be cooked before the ‘Use By’ date on the pack. Once cooked fresh items can be frozen and stored in a freezer.  All fresh items can also be frozen at home if they are put in your freezer immediately your package is delivered.
