Free Range Chickens and Ducks
These free range chickens and ducks are reared on 150 acres of grassland, on the shores of Strangford Lough. They are proper outdoor reared free range birds, fed on wheat and corn, and grazing on fresh grass during the day. At night they are locked into small sheds to protect them from foxes. They are fed no antibiotics, and are allowed to mature naturally then humanely killed on the farm and game hung to improve their flavour. They are dry plucked - no water touches the skin during plucking - so their skin remains dry, and crisps up beautifully during roasting. Each bird is a true feast
